What Courtogo is, and isn't, responsible for

Courtogo is an online platform that lists sports venues and lets players book them. We do not own or run any venue, and on venues that take manual payments we never touch your money. Please read this page before you book, especially if you are paying a venue directly.

Venues that take manual payments

On a manual-payment venue you send money straight to the venue's own GCash, Maya or bank account and upload a screenshot. Courtogo never receives, holds or controls that money, and has no way to reverse, recover or refund it. The venue, as the seller, is primarily responsible to you for the booking, as provided under the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (RA 11967).

For any booking paid by manual payment, Courtogo is not liable for loss caused by the venue or by anyone else outside Courtogo, including:

  • Scams, fraud or impersonation, including a fake venue, a fake or altered payment account or QR code, or a venue that takes payment and never honours the booking.
  • Reschedules, cancellations, no-shows, closures or changes made by the venue or the customer.
  • Refunds of any kind, whether full, partial or refused, and how or when the venue chooses to send them.
  • Money sent to the wrong account, in the wrong amount, or outside the Courtogo booking flow.
  • Delays in the venue verifying your screenshot, or a booking the venue declines to confirm.
  • Overcharging, extra fees, deposits or any price the venue asks for beyond what is listed.
  • Any other dispute, loss or damage arising from a payment made directly to a venue.

Courtogo does not handle refunds, reschedules or payment disputes for manual payments. We cannot reverse a transfer, issue a chargeback, collect a refund on your behalf, or confirm that a payment arrived. Take these to the venue first, using the contact details on its page and your booking confirmation.

If the venue does not resolve it, or you believe it has acted dishonestly, you can still report the venue or email support@courtogo.com. We review every report and may warn, suspend or remove the venue, but we cannot return money that was paid to it.

None of this limits liability for Courtogo's own fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any right you have that cannot be waived under Philippine law (see Limitation of liability).

If you think you've been scammed

  1. Contact your bank or e-wallet straight away. GCash, Maya and your bank are the only ones who can try to hold or trace a transfer, and the sooner they hear from you the better the chance.
  2. Report it to the authorities. Call the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) hotline 1326, free and open 24/7, or report at cicc.gov.ph/report. You can also file a complaint with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group or the NBI Cybercrime Division. Keep your receipt, the screenshot you uploaded, and any messages with the venue. Courtogo deletes uploaded payment screenshots 30 days after upload, so save your own copy.
  3. Report the venue on Courtogo. Use Report this venue at the bottom of its page, or email support@courtogo.com with your booking reference. An upheld fraud report removes the venue from Courtogo for good, as set out in our venue standards. This protects other players, but it does not recover your money.

Courtogo will cooperate with lawful requests from the police, courts and regulators, which may include sharing the booking records and payment account details a venue gave us.

How to protect yourself

  • Prefer venues with the Instant Book badge. These take online payment through Courtogo, so your booking is confirmed straight away and refunds follow our refund policy.
  • Only pay to the account Courtogo shows you during checkout. Never pay to a number or QR code sent to you by chat, text or social media.
  • Check that the account name in your GCash, Maya or banking app matches the venue before you send.
  • Send the exact amount shown, and keep your own copy of the receipt.
  • Read the venue's cancellation, reschedule and refund rules before you pay, and ask the venue if anything is unclear.
  • Never share a one-time PIN (OTP), MPIN or password with anyone, including someone who says they are from Courtogo or a venue.
  • Be wary of prices far below other venues nearby, or pressure to pay quickly outside the booking flow.

Venues that take online payments

When you pay online through Courtogo (QR Ph, GCash, Maya or GrabPay via PayMongo), Courtogo collects the payment and passes it on to the venue. Cancellations, reschedules and refunds for these bookings follow the Cancellation and Refund Policy and any house rules the venue publishes. Our support team can help with the payment itself, but the venue is still responsible for running the court and honouring the booking.

Venue listings

  • Venue names, photos, prices, hours, courts, amenities, rules and contact details are supplied by venue owners. We review new venues, but we do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete or up to date.
  • Venues are independent businesses. They are not owned, operated, employed or endorsed by Courtogo, and a listing is not a recommendation.
  • A Verified badge means our team checked the listing's photos, location and contact details with the venue. It is not a guarantee of how the venue runs its bookings or handles payments and refunds.
  • A venue may change its prices or rules, close temporarily, or leave Courtogo at any time.

Health, safety and your belongings

  • Sport carries a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for judging whether you are fit to play.
  • Courtogo does not inspect courts or facilities and is not responsible for their condition, maintenance, safety or security.
  • Courtogo is not liable for injury, illness, accidents, or the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings at a venue.
  • Report anything unsafe to the venue straight away, and to Courtogo through the venue's page.

Coaches, open play and other players

  • Coaches listed on Courtogo are independent. We do not employ them or verify their qualifications, certifications or background unless a listing says otherwise.
  • Open play sessions are run by the venue or organiser that posts them. Courtogo does not supervise sessions or vet the people who join.
  • Courtogo is not responsible for the conduct of other players, coaches, organisers or venue staff.

Third-party services and availability

  • Courtogo relies on outside services such as PayMongo, GCash, Maya, GrabPay, banks, email and map providers. We are not responsible for their outages, delays, fees or errors.
  • We aim to keep Courtogo running smoothly but do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. Availability shown on a venue page can change before a booking is confirmed.
  • Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Courtogo does not control and is not responsible for their content.

Limitation of liability

  • Courtogo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by Philippine law, Courtogo and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including money paid directly to a venue, lost time or lost opportunities.
  • Where Courtogo is found liable for a booking, our total liability is limited to the amount Courtogo itself received for that booking, to the extent the law allows such a limit.
  • Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability for Courtogo's own fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any obligation or right that cannot be waived under Philippine law, including the Civil Code, the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394), the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (RA 11967) and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
  • If any part of this page is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • This disclaimer forms part of our Terms and Conditions. If the two conflict, the Terms and Conditions apply.

Questions, complaints and reports can go to support@courtogo.com. For a refund or reschedule on a manual-payment booking, please contact the venue first.
