How Payments Work

Transparent, secure, and instant. Here's everything you need to know about payments on Courtogo.

How It Works

These steps cover venues on online payments. Venues that take manual payments work a little differently.

Step 1

Customer Books & Pays

Choose your court, pick a time slot, and pay instantly at checkout using GCash, Maya, GrabPay, or QR Ph.

Step 2

Booking Confirmed Instantly

Once payment is completed, your booking is confirmed automatically. No waiting for manual verification.

Step 3

Venue Gets Paid

Payouts are sent automatically twice a week, every Monday and Thursday. As soon as your payout details are complete, your confirmed online bookings are batched and paid out on the next run.

Manual vs Online Payments

Every venue chooses how it wants to be paid. You'll see which one applies when you reach checkout.

Manual payment

Screenshot upload — you pay the venue directly

  • Send the exact amount to the venue’s own GCash, Maya, or bank account shown at checkout.
  • Upload a screenshot of the transfer within 30 minutes so your slot stays held.
  • The venue reviews the screenshot and confirms your booking. Some venues have this set to confirm automatically.
  • No platform service fee — you pay the venue’s listed price and nothing more.
Online payment

QR Ph via PayMongo — you pay through Courtogo

  • Scan the QR Ph code on the payment page with any e-wallet or banking app. No transfers to arrange, no screenshots.
  • Your booking is confirmed the moment the payment clears, usually within seconds.
  • A platform service fee is added on top of the venue’s price and is always shown before you pay.
  • Courtogo receives the payment and forwards it to the venue on the next payout run.

The platform service fee is always displayed at checkout before payment, and any change to it is announced to customers and venue owners and published on this page before it takes effect. This page previously promised 30 days' notice of a change; the move to a flat 25 on 21 August 2026 was announced on 20 August and so did not carry it. The platform service fee is non-refundable on venue-issued refunds — Courtogo absorbs the PayMongo processing fee on the original transaction and does not pass it on, so the service fee covers that real cost. Only refunds initiated by Courtogo for system or availability issues are issued in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between manual and online payments?

Manual means you pay the venue directly (GCash, Maya, or bank transfer) and upload a screenshot as proof — there’s no platform service fee, but the venue has to verify your payment before the booking is confirmed. Online means you pay Courtogo through PayMongo’s QR Ph checkout — a platform service fee applies, but your booking is confirmed instantly and refunds go through Courtogo. Each venue picks which one it uses; you’ll see which applies at checkout.

When do venue owners get paid?

Payouts are sent automatically twice a week, every Monday and Thursday. As soon as your payout details are complete, your confirmed online bookings are batched and paid out on the next run. Funds are sent to your configured payout method (GCash, Maya, or Bank Transfer).

Are there any fees?

Yes — a small platform service fee is added at checkout when paying online. It’s charged to the customer (not deducted from venue earnings), so venue owners always receive 100% of their listed price. PayMongo processing fees are also absorbed by Courtogo — not passed on to you or the venue.

How much is the service fee?

All online payments use QR Ph (the BSP's national QR standard, scannable by any e-wallet or banking app). The service fee is always shown at checkout before you pay:
Payment MethodService feeFrom
QR Ph25 flat, per booking21 August 2026

One number whatever the booking is worth: a 250 booking and a 2,500 booking both carry 25. Until 21 August 2026 the fee was 1.75% with a 25 floor and 15 below 500, so bookings under 500 now carry 10 more and bookings above 1,428 carry less.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. All payments are processed by PayMongo, a BSP-licensed and PCI-DSS compliant payment facilitator. Courtogo never stores your payment credentials (e-wallet or bank details).

What if I need a refund?

Check the venue's own policy first — many venues set their own court and cancellation rules, and those must be followed over Courtogo's general policy. Customers cannot initiate refunds directly — please reschedule instead. If the venue chooses to refund your booking, only the venue's portion of the price is returned; the platform service fee charged at checkout is always non-refundable. Because online payments use QR Ph (which PayMongo does not support for automated refunds), Courtogo emails you a secure link to provide your GCash, Instapay, or bank details, then sends the refund manually within 7–12 days. If Courtogo cancels a confirmed booking due to a system or availability issue, you receive a full refund including the platform fee. See our Cancellation and Refund Policy for details.

What happens to manual payments (screenshot uploads)?

Nothing — manual payments stay available for free, with no deadline. Venues can keep accepting GCash, Maya, or bank transfer via screenshot upload for as long as they like. Automated payments are opt-in: venue owners can switch whenever they're ready (we recommend it for instant confirmation), but no one is required to.

How long do you keep my uploaded payment screenshots?

To protect your privacy and keep storage lean, payment proof screenshots are automatically deleted 30 days after upload — well after your booking is confirmed and any issues would have surfaced. Payout confirmation screenshots shared with venue owners are kept for 1 year for accounting purposes. If you ever need a copy for your own records, please save it before then.

What if a customer disputes a payment?

Payment disputes are handled through PayMongo’s dispute resolution process. Courtogo will coordinate with both parties and PayMongo to resolve any issues.
